The Little Prince is in a league of its own. Seldom has a book been so universal in terms both of its adequacy for a variety of cultures and of its relevance to people of different ages. The Little Prince is a well written nice little story, within which there is something more universal that acts a bit like a mirror revealing to each reader something that matters to them in a very unique way. Full of metaphors, this pure work of art conveys essential messages in a language that is simple enough to be understood by children while structured in such a way as to provide food for thought and reflection to adults. More than any other book The Little Prince serves all the meanings of the word reflection, by acting as a mirror and by helping us think about important aspects of life and death.
To be read at least once and preferably many times in a lifetime (I am now beyond the 35th read... and still learning).
Now the question: why is this post in English? Well, it's simple: The LIttle Prince was first published in 1943 in the United States of America.
